In frontier missionary work, good information is essential—and nowhere is this more true than in the Amazon and lowlands region. Identifying and locating remote tribes is just the beginning of building an effective outreach strategy. In the Three Waves Movement, research is a collaborative effort, combining office-based planning, technical mapping, and field-based investigative methods integrated into existing ministries.
In 2026, this ongoing initiative takes a strategic leap forward. A special emphasis will be placed on strengthening research and survey efforts by deploying the Three Waves Movement research team to key events. These gatherings—where Indigenous leaders are present—offer a unique opportunity to collect field data, conduct surveys, and assess the movement’s progress directly from those living it.
This expanded effort will improve strategic planning, increase Indigenous participation in decision-making, and ensure that future outreach is informed by real, on-the-ground insights. By deepening our understanding of the current realities among Indigenous peoples in the Amazon and lowlands region, we’re building a stronger foundation for Gospel impact.
