Momentum continues to build as LICAC’s outreach initiative enters Phase 3. After preparing Indigenous missionary teams and developing culturally relevant outreach resources, the project will now move into a multi-year season of direct ministry among five unreached ethnic groups in Colombia: the Barí, Cofan, Miraña, Hupda, and Jiw.
This phase focuses on cultural immersion, contextualized evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development within each community. Over the coming years, Indigenous ministry teams will build relationships, share biblical truths in culturally meaningful ways, establish discipleship groups, and identify emerging leaders who can help shepherd the work locally.
By equipping Indigenous believers to serve among other Indigenous peoples in their area, this initiative seeks to establish lasting, locally led ministry. The goal is not only to share the Gospel, but also to develop Indigenous leaders who can disciple others, strengthen their communities, and help establish sustainable churches committed to the Great Commission.
Your support will help Indigenous missionaries bring the hope of Christ to unreached communities while laying the foundation for long-term spiritual growth and Indigenous-led ministry throughout the Colombian Amazon.
