Jim & Suzi Macy
Short-term Team Coordinators
North America
Jim and Suzi served in Ecuador on short-term missions teams beginning in 2009. After their first experience, they fell in love with the country and most importantly, the people. Sensing God calling them to serve full-time, they moved to the community of Shell, Ecuador in 2017. There they worked alongside fellow missionaries, indigenous people, and latin nationals for two years, helping to establish a training center for indigenous tribal groups. God put a passion for the Christian tribal community in their hearts.
Jim has 40 years’ experience in the construction field, including leadership and project planning. Jim used his skills to help remodel buildings and general building maintenance while serving in Ecuador. Suzi has 35 years’ experience in the medical field and has served as a youth leader. She used her hospitality skills to run a guesthouse in Ecuador and make medical visits with a team RN.
Their experience with short-term missions teams and living abroad in the Amazon region make the Macys a great fit to now serve within the Three Waves Movement as Short-Term Team Coordinators for ALTECO.
Jim and Suzi have four adult children and three grandchildren. They currently live in Long Beach, California.
